Námskeið FS: Mechanism-based manual therapy – the low back and pelvic girdle

• This course builds on the course “Evidence Management of Musculoskeletal Pain” and is aimed at providing the participants with relevant examination methods for the patient suffering from low back or pelvic girdle pain. The specifics of the subjective examination will be covered including symptoms and aggravating factors which can guide the clinician in the objective part of the examination. The objective examination involves an assessment of relevant active and active assisted movement which are followed up on with a more specific assessment of segmental movement • Frequent clinical findings are discussed and suggestions to treatment and specific exercise are covered • To facilitate the learning and bridging the gap between theory and clinical practice, patient demonstrations will be used where the subjective and objective findings will be discussed afterwards
